All Third Coast Equipment base plates are premium ductile cast iron. This durable material helps reduce vibration felt by the operator, offers greater tensile strength and a better transfer of energy to the surface. This coupled with either a center or a rear mounted handle (depending on the model choice) produces a comfortable & smooth feel for the operator.
